Executive Summary
Orthopedic bone graft developer Cerapedics Inc. has raised $19mm through its Series C financing round led by first-time investors MedImmune Ventures (adds a board member) and CVF LLC, which were joined by former backers OrbiMed Advisors and NGN Capital, and one undisclosed investor. The money will fund the ongoing IDE trial in the US of its i-FACTOR peptide-enhanced bone graft for cervical spine applications and to prep for the eventual commercialization. Funds will also support development of next-generation products and ex-US sales and marketing activities of i-FACTOR.
