BSC sells neurovascular unit to Stryker for $1.5bn

Executive Summary
Gaining a new therapeutic area outside of its core orthopedic implants, Stryker Corp. has bought Boston Scientific Corp.'s neurovascular division for $1.4bn in cash up front plus $100mm in milestones. The acquired unit is the leading player in the global neurovascular market, which is worth $900mm.
