Crystalplex saw an opportunity in developing improved multiplexing technoloiges that could accelerate advances in clinical diagnostics and drug discovery. It enhances the detection of cellular processes through the use of semiconductor nanocrystals or quantum dots. Nanocrystals are inserted into polymer beads, which are capable of highly multiplexed, simultaneous measurement of many analytes in biological samples.
