Prostate specific antigen (PSA) screening tests will be covered by Medicare effective Jan. 1, 2000, the Health Care Financing Administration says in an April transmittal to Medicare carriers and intermediaries. The benefit was mandated by Sec. 4103 of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997.
