Abbott is to cut around 100 pharmaceutical manufacturing jobs at its Barceloneta site in Puerto Rico, as part of a broader round of cuts mainly affecting its stent manufacturing operations. The company told Scrip the pharma cutbacks were not motivated by any particular product issues but rather came as part of general streamlining of operations.
