Gray retires as Icon CEO; CFO Murray takes charge

Executive Summary
Peter Gray, CEO of the Dublin-based CRO Icon is to retire after 14 years with the company, the last nine spent as CEO. Ciaran Murray, who has held the position of CFO for the last 6 years, will take the position of CEO from 1 October, 2011, he has also been appointed as a member of the Board. Mr Gray will take on the role of vice-chairman to facilitate a smooth transition and to assist the board in continuing strategic development. Following Mr Murray’s appointment, Brendan Brennan, currently senior vice-president of corporate finance will be appointed acting CFO and Diarmaid Cunningham will take on the additional role of company secretary.
