GalaGen nutritional ingredient supplier licenses colostrum-based ingredient to Estee Lauder for use in skin care products under a non-exclusive agreement, the Arden Hills, Minn. company says July 13. The GalaGen ingredient, not yet used in cosmetics formulations, has been shown to "enhance collagen synthesis and...promote skin health." Colostrum already is used in nutritional supplement brand Proventra, the company's first branded technology. GalaGen will begin shipping the ingredient to Estee Lauder in second quarter 2001
