Philips is collaborating with US digital health connectivity specialist Validic to bring consumer-generated health data into HealthSuite, Philips’ open cloud-based platform that collects, integrates and analyzes health, wellness and clinical data to improve patient care and enable people to better manage their own health. Validic’s connectivity platform reaches out to around 223 million people in 47 countries. Philips aims to use Validic’s technology to further enhance the integration of data from fitness wearables, remote monitoring devices and health apps, as well as medical device like blood pressure cuffs, health patches and glucose meters, into its existing and new connected health services. These include Philips’ Personal Health Programs, Lifeline medical alert services and eCareCoordinator and eCareCompanion eHealth.
