The annual European Medtech Forum has always promised to be a hotbed for debate over key EU medtech regulatory issues. But with this year’s meeting – entitled New Rules, New markets – taking place just two weeks after the milestone 25 September vote by EU Parliament committee ENVI on the proposed Medical Device and IVD Regulations, opinions were voiced with a renewed sense of purpose and urgency as industry, healthcare professionals, patients’ representatives and, of course, the policy-makers convened to make their views heard.
