Executive Summary
Privately-held medical imaging specialist 3DISC Imaging has acquired Korean imaging software firm CoreWare for an undisclosed fee. Gangwon-based CoreWare, founded in 2002, provides image processing software solutions for computed radiography, digital radiography and PACS to domestic customers, other Asian countries and the US. The two companies already collaborate: CoreWare provides software for 3DISC's X-ray products, which the firm describes as "flexible and affordable". In June, 3DISC saw its FireCR family of computed radiography scanners and QuantorMed imaging software receive 510(k) clearance from the US FDA. As well as its Dulles, Virginia headquarters, the firm also has an office in Alleroed, Denmark, and Daejeon, Korea.
