Biocartis hires Hilde Windels as CFO

Executive Summary
Biocartis, a developer of molecular diagnostic solutions, has appointed Hilde Windels chief financial officer, as well as managing director of Biocartis NV (a wholly owned subsidiary of Biocartis SA) and director of Biocartis BV (the Dutch subsidiary). Ms Windels is currently on the board of MDX Health and Flanders Bio, and was previously CFO of Devgen. Biocartis was founded in 2007, and acquired its molecular diagnostics platform from Philips in February 2010 (www.clinica.co.uk, 10 February 2010). Earlier this year, Biocartis struck a deal with Johnson & Johnson to develop and commercialise assays based on its molecular diagnostics platform (www.clinica.co.uk, 10 January 2011).
