The US FDA has granted premarket approval (PMA) for Medtronic's Arctic Front cardiac cryoablation catheter. The Minneapolis, Minnesota firm claims the minimally-invasive device is the first and only cryoballoon in the US indicated for the treatment of drug-refractory paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF).
