Caris creates new role for ex-Roche vice-chairman

Personalised healthcare specialist Caris Life Sciences has appointed Jonathan Knowles to the newly-created role of chief scientific officer. In this role, Dr Knowles will aid the Irving, Texas-based company in the development and commercialisation of its Carisome platform, a blood-based test for cancer and other complex diseases. Dr Knowles joined Caris as vice-president earlier this year, and will remain in this role alongside his new position. Dr Knowles previously worked for Roche as president of group research and was a member of the company’s corporate executive committee.
