Executive Summary
Magna-Lab, a US-based developer of MRI scanners for extremities, has struck an alliance with Israeli imaging company Elscint. Under the deal, Elscint would manufacture the Magna-SL, a small MRI device for extremities, for distribution in Europe, China, parts of the Middle East and Latin America, Australia and other non-US countries. A definitive agreement has yet to be signed and approved by both companies' boards. Magna-Lab and Elscint presented the Magna-SL at the RSNA conference in Chicago (November 26th-December 1st).
