Australian conglomerate Pacific Dunlop will dispose of its Cochlear hearing implant subsidiary by floating it on the market. The plan was first announced last April as part of a larger restructuring programme (see Clinica No 650/51, p 22). A prospectus is expected to be issued during November. Cochlear has sales of nearly Aus$70 million a year ($53 million).
