Executive Summary
Nellcor Puritan Bennett will distribute the Flutter mucus removal device in the US. It is manufactured by Scandipharm and was cleared by the FDA for patients with chronic bronchitis and bronchiectasis in May (see Clinica No 655, p 22). Under the five-year agreement, Nellcor Puritan Bennett and its homecare company Edentec will sell the device in the US. Scandipharm will continue marketing it to independent cystic fibrosis clinics. Terms were not disclosed.
