Becton Dickinson has struck a joint venture deal with Chinese company Suzhou Pharmaceutical General. The $25 million investment aims to manufacture Becton's intravenous catheters, hypodermic needles, disposable anaesthesia needles and disposable hypodermic syringes in China. Becton hopes construction of the facility located in Suzhou in Jiangsu province will begin by next May and production a year later.
