Executive Summary

If you have been using heart disease to justifying your wine intake keep this Finnish research away from your more sober colleagues: tea, apples and onions are just as beneficial. Finns do not drink much wine but those with a high intake of other flavonoid-rich foods seem to be less likely to have heart disease, according to Dr Antti Reunanen and colleagues from the National Public Health Institute in Helsinki.
