Mediziv to look after Vital Signs' European operations

US disposables manufacturer Vital Signs has paid $2.2 million cash for 85% of an Israeli producer of epidural and spinal anaesthesia products among other disposables. Closely-held Mediziv Medical Products had sales of $2.4 million in 1994 and pre-tax profits of $301,000. From August, Vital Signs will transfer responsibility for assembly and logistics of its European operations from its German subsidiary to Mediziv.
