DG III D 2, the medical devices division within the European Commission's industrial affairs directorate, has taken on new administrative support to help with work on industrial policy. Economist Elena Reitano, has joined the team and reports to Norbert Anselmann, head of the medical devices division. Ms Reitano's brief covers industrial competence, sector structure, market evolution, industrial co-operation and relationships with international associations. She formerly worked in DG III D 4 on the economic aspects of the transport equipment industry.
