Executive Summary
Tighter regulations on the sale of electronic therapeutic devices are to be introduced in Thailand. According to the Bangkok Post, the Thai FDA will propose stricter controls on 12 types of device at a Medical Device Committee meeting on July 6th. Instead of having only to show that the devices are approved in their country of origin, importers will be required to register the equipment with the FDA and put warnings on the packaging. The new rules are expected to start next year.
