Scientists at Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science are working on an office-based kit to aid ophthalmic surgeons in releasing intra-ocular pressure for the treatment of glaucoma. Professor Arye Yaron has developed a delivery technique for collagenase enzymes. This softens the collagen in the eye sufficiently to allow the excess liquid to filter out.
