Endotrend (Germany) and Macosta (Italy) are to co-operate in developing medical products based on the two companies' expertise in surgical equipment manufacture and plastic moulding respectively. The companies have already developed two products for minimally invasive surgery and one for large abdominal interventions for which they are currently seeking distributors. The equipment can be sterilised by beta-radiation. The companies are also looking for product ideas from the healthcare industry or medical profession.
