Galileo Electro-Optics has begun shipments of a new low-cost arthroscope to its distributor in North America, Millenium Medical. The NuCore extended life arthroscope features replaceable optics which, according to Galileo, can be used with almost all video cameras and light sources and guides. The company claims the replaceable optics unit costs less than one third of a single repair to a standard scope.
