The South Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare plans to include expensive medical diagnostic tests such as CT and MRI in the list of reimbursable procedures in the second half of 1995, reports Pharma Koreana. Medical institutions using MRI and CT for patients covered by medical insurance funds will be reimbursed at Won 170,000 ($215) and Won 100,000 respectively. Ultrasound devices will not be reimbursed.
