Executive Summary
Italian pharmaceutical company Alfa Wassermann has acquired Anagen's AuraFlex automated immunoassay system for an undisclosed amount. UK company Anagen recently went into voluntary liquidation. Alfa Biotech, a wholly-owned Alfa Wassermann subsidiary, will carry on the AuraFlex project and expects to launch the product in the second quarter of 1997. AuraFlex will be marketed by two other subsidiaries of Alfa Wassermann - Alfa Biotech in Italy and Dutch company Schiapparelli Biosystems in the rest of the world.
