French reimbursement for diagnostic tests fell 0.6% in September compared with a fall of 0.1% in the previous month. Spending on auxiliary procedures, which include ECGs and EEGs, was unchanged in September following a drop of 0.4% in August. Figures released by national insurers CNAM show reimbursement for small equipment was Fr 86.0 million ($17.2 million) and Fr 82.3 million for heavy equipment during the month. September reimbursement for pacemakers was Fr 15.5 million and for other internal prostheses Fr 165.6 million. Equipment sales were generally down on the previous month.
