Italian association hits back on prices

Italian industry association Assobiomedica is keen to help the government develop a system for comparing the prices of similar medical devices and diagnostics and to help with technology assessment. The association's statement comes in response to influential Italian professor Silvio Garattini's demands for a solution to the Italian "pricing anarchy" in medical devices and diagnostics (see Clinica No 723, p 2).
