Medical Graphics has obtained exclusive worldwide distribution rights to TeleDiagnostic Systems' Vista polysomnography system for diagnosing sleep disorders. Medical Graphics, based in St Paul, Minnesota, expects continued growth in the sleep disorder market, which expanded from 120 labs in 1985 to 1,500 in 1995. The company estimates that about 20 million people in the US suffer from the most common sleep disorder, obstructive sleep apnoea, but only a small percentage have been properly diagnosed. TeleDiagnostics is based in San Francisco, California.
