Fresenius aims to expand peritoneal business more quickly

German dialysis specialist Fresenius restructured its dialysis systems division last year to expand the peritoneal business more quickly. The haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis divisions were separated and regionalised - haemodialysis now has seven regional market businesses and peritoneal five, which will report to the divisional management in Germany. Around 15% of dialysis patients worldwide receive peritoneal dialysis.
