Scantibodies Laboratory's Calcitonin Coated Bead immunoradiometric assay (IRMA) has received 510(k) clearance from the US FDA. The assay quantitatively measures calcitonin in human serum and is the second assay to be produced by the Santee, California-based company. The Intact PTH Coated Bead IRMA was cleared in August 1995.
