Executive Summary
Diagnostic Ultrasound will start shipping its BladderScan Plus portable bladder volume measurement device next month. The company from Redmond, Virginia, introduced the device at the American Urology Association meeting held in Orlando, Florida, last month. BladderScan Plus allows non-ultrasonographers, such as nurses and assistants, to determine non-invasively the amount of urine contained by the bladder. It is an upgrade of the existing BladderScan with a faster scanning time and a low-volume mode for determining residual bladder volumes.
