Spain's new Health Minister, Jose Manuel Romay Beccaria, announced he would be looking to develop health reforms which offer greater choice to the public and greater autonomy to health centres. After a three-hour hand-over meeting with the outgoing Health Minister, Angeles Amador, Mr Romay Beccaria said he would be looking to improve health services, develop agreements between the public and private sector and reduce hospital waiting lists.
