Dade completes DuPont Diagnostics takeover

US diagnostics company Dade International has completed its acquisition of DuPont Diagnostics. This will boost the Illinois-based company to number six among the world's largest diagnostics manufacturers with 5,500 employees and around $950 million turnover last year. "Many other companies serving clinical laboratories are owned by larger diversified corporations. We are unique in our exclusive focus on clinical laboratory," says CEO Scott Garrett.
