Executive Summary
Angina is significantly better and perfusion improved at one year in patients treated with transmyocardial laser revascularisation (TMR). One-year follow-up data presented at the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons in San Diego (April 29th) showed that perfusion defects fell from an average of 5 per patient to 2.8. Average angina class dropped from 3.8 to 1.4 in patients treated with PLC Systems' CO(2) laser TMR system.
