Executive Summary
The Liechtenstein ordinance, transposing both of the EU's medical device Directives, has been approved by the government and is due to be published imminently. It will take effect immediately, which means that only CE-marked active implantables can be marketed in the country from that date. Other medical devices must be CE-marked by June 14th 1998, in line with the rest of the European Economic Area (EEA).
