Keith Gilding, former CEO of Innovative Technologies and Diana Mitchell, his wife, have resigned from the company's board. Along with four others they started Innovative as a biomaterials company in 1991. Disappointing sales figures forced Mr Gilding to stand down. Roy Smith who joined the company as deputy CEO and general manager in April takes over as CEO. Mr Gilding presided over a number of distribution agreements and the acquisition of the unprofitable woundcare division of Polymedica. Shares in Innovative rose by 12.5p to 182.5p on the news.
