Astra and TheraTech extend distribution agreement:

Executive Summary

Astra is to have exclusive distribution rights to TheraTech's Androderm transdermal testosterone system in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Initial product launches are expected in early 1998. Swedish company Astra already markets the product in Sweden, Denmark and Finland under the name Atmos and it has distribution rights in Iceland. SmithKline Beecham sells the product as Androderm in the UK and Ireland. Under the new agreement, US company TheraTech will receive a signing fee, milestone payments and royalties.
