New Zealand's drug reimbursement agency, Pharmac, began subsidising several new diabetes products on September 1, reports GP Weekly. The products include a pen needle and a new cartridge-loaded blood glucose test strip. The number of syringes now being subsidised has risen from 26 to 50 over a three-month period.
