US Surgical's Mini-CABG instruments have been used for the first time in Europe to perform minimally invasive triple coronary artery bypass surgery. The three-hour procedure, which involved operating on the beating heart of a 66-year-old man, was carried out at the Erasme Hospital in Belgium. The first such operation using Mini-CABG instruments took place in March at the Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical College in Japan.
