Executive Summary
International Remote Imaging Systems (IRIS) has been awarded exclusive rights to Toa Medical Electronics' Sysmex UF-100 urine cell analyser in North America. The distributorship is the result of an arbitration proceeding following litigation between the two companies. The Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce Court also ruled that Toa must pay IRIS royalties on sales of the product in other parts of the world.
