Medtec, the Galician medical technology agency, is to begin auditing all high-tech installations under its control in the Spanish region. An independent, expert panel will start assessment of Medtec's cardiac surgery, haemodynamics, nuclear medicine, linear accelerator and MRI facilities at two hospitals in Vigo on April 23rd. Assessment will also be carried out through user surveys. Impromptu visits by the panel will begin from next year to maintain the level of services, Medtec told Clinica.
