Executive Summary
Denmark's medical device industry association, DMDA, has complained to the Ministry of Health about the name of the country's new Competent Authority. Since the beginning of this year, the Ministry's drugs section has been renamed the Danish Medicines Agency and has become an independent body under the auspices of the Ministry. Its role as the country's Competent Authority for medical devices is not reflected by this title, DMDA says.
