Selfcare, the US diagnostics specialist, has won control of loss-making UK diagnostics concern, Enviromed, following an extraordinary meeting at which 49% of shareholders backed the removal of Enviromed's board of directors. They will be replaced by a four-strong team led by Ron Zwanziger - head of Selfcare and a former Enviromed director. The new board says it will focus Enviromed's resources on the company's Biozyme medical diagnostics subsidiary. The disposal of other activities has not been ruled out.
