Executive Summary
It is becoming increasingly likely that a small part of the article concerning human tissues will remain in the draft IVD Directive. This article is intended as an amendment to the Medical Devices Directive. There is pressure from the European Commission that a part relating to human collagen products should remain. If this were agreed, all other products would be left to national laws or a future Directive.
