Executive Summary

Patients waiting for surgery in Spain will have to wait no more than 90 days in 1997, says Health Minister Jose Manuel Romay. Following an agreement announced in December at the association of masters in health economics in Barcelona, Mr Romay claimed private centres will be commissioned to treat patients to reduce the waiting lists.
