Trimedyne says judgement against Bard encouraging:

This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Trimedyne, which is suing CR Bard over the latter's alleged failure to fulfill a ten-year marketing agreement signed in 1991, says that a District Court judgement affirms its claim and expects a trial date to be set soon. Trimedyne is suing Bard for $72 million. The poor relationship between the two companies was exacerbated when Bard signed a similar agreement with Surgical Laser Technologies in 1994. This prompted a $62 million suit from SLT after Bard allegedly reneged on the SLT deal citing its previous agreement with Trimedyne (see Clinica No 632, p 15).
