US medical laser manufacturer Premier Laser Systems has appointed the following people to its board of directors: Lawrence Ashcroft, former chairman of Cardiopet; Dr Frederic Feldman, a consultant to start-up healthcare companies; Dr John Hunkeler, professor and chairman of the department of ophthalmology at the University of Kansas Medical Center; and Lewis Stanton, chief operating and chief financial officer of software developer MAI Systems. Donald Shapiro and Grace Ching-Hsin Lin are to retire from the board.
