Germany's Heraeus Med has sold all of its shares in Laserscope to a group of institutional investors. Until the sale, Heraeus had been the largest shareholder in San Jose, California-based Laserscope, which develops medical laser systems. In a related development, three Laserscope directors who had been designated by Heraeus resigned from the board. Heraeus Med, which also produces equipment for operating theatres and intensive care units, could not be reached for comment.
