Executive Summary
Further cervical screening errors have been revealed after a second round of rescreening was carried out by Warwickshire Health Authority in the UK. The slides were re-examined when smear tests, that were originally checked as part of a quality assurance programme, were found to be abnormal (see Clinica No 784, p 4). Of 17,451 slides that were re-examined, 175 showed serious abnormalities.
